The incidence rate and clinical characteristics of autoimmune metaplastic atrophic gastritis and associated neoplasia in Chinese patients

#3098

Introduction: The incidence rate of autoimmune metaplastic atrophic gastritis (AMAG) is on the rise gradually and it may lead to an increased risk of associated gastric neoplastic lesions. However, there is limited literature about the respective incidence of neoplasia with AMAG, such as gastric neuroendocrine tumors (g-NETs), gastric hyperplastic polyps (GHPs) and gastric carcinoma.

Aim(s): This study aims to summarize the clinical characteristics of AMAG and associated gastric neoplasia.

Materials and methods: Retrospective audit of 135 patients diagnosed with AMAG on endoscopic gastric biopsy between January 2017 and January 2020 at Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, China.
