Introduction: Small-bowel ileus (SBI) is often decisive for the prognosis in midgut neuroendocrine tumours (NET) and other peritoneally metastasised neoplasias. Conventional procedures of palliative care deliver unsatisfying results.

Introduction: Currently, the incidence of gastric neuroendocrine neoplasia (gNEN) has increased significantly. Most gNEN are developed on the background of chronic atrophic gastritis (about 90%). Despite this, the role of chronic atrophic gastritis treatment (gastroprotective therapy) in dynamic of gNEN remains unexplored.

Introduction: Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is a rare hereditary disease characterised by the development of multiglandular parathyroid disease, pituitary tumours, and duodenopancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). Germline mutations in the tumour suppressor gene MEN1 are the underlying cause. Somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2) is commonly expressed by NETs. However, the expression of SSTR2 in patients with MEN1 remains unclear.
