The indolent nature of type 1 gastric neuroendocrine tumours under 1cm: Insights from a dual-centre study
#4315
Introduction: Current guidelines primarily recommend endoscopic surveillance for type 1 gastric neuroendocrine tumours (g-NETs) measuring ≤10mm, though these guidelines are largely based on expert consensus rather than strong evidence.
Aim(s): This study aims to investigate the risk of disease progression in patients with type 1 g-NETs ≤10mm who are managed through endoscopic surveillance.
Materials and methods: This study is a western dual-centre retrospective analysis, including patients with type 1 g-NETs ≤10mm who underwent endoscopic surveillance. The primary outcome was progression-free survival, and statistical analysis was performed using MedCalc® software (p-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant).
