The value of 68Ga-DOTANOC and 18F-FDG PET/CT for predicting the prognosis of patients with metastatic rectal neuroendocrine tumor

#3946

Introduction: Rectal neuroendocrine tumor (RNET) is common second only to pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in Chinese population. Some studies demonstrated that 18F-FDG PET/CT is useful for risk stratification of GEP-NET and is even better than histologic grade to predict the prognosis.

Aim(s): Our study is to evaluate the role of 68Ga-DOTANOC and 18F-FDG PET/CT for predicting the prognosis of patients with RNET.

Materials and methods: We respectively investigated 235 patients with RNET who underwent 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT as baseline in our hospital. The inclusion criteria are as following: (1) metastatic RNET with visible lesions in the baseline PET/CT, (2) receiving medication chosen by specialists, (3) with regular follow-up. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis was performed. Univariate and multivariate analysis for progression free survival (PFS) was analyzed using Cox’s proportional hazards models.
