Treatment efficacy in 212 metastatic small intestinal neuroendocrine tumor grade 2 patients

#3866

Introduction: Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (Si-NET) are frequently studied as a single entity, irrespective of their grade, which is known to influence prognosis.

Aim(s): To investigate whether Si-NET grade 2 (G2), with a higher proliferation index (Ki-67) than G1 tumors, benefit less from standard metastatic treatments.

Materials and methods: A retrospective cohort study of 212 metastatic Si-NET G2 patients treated in two Swedish hospitals between 2000 and 2019.
