#3870 Small bowel neuroendocrine tumor with carcinoid heart disease

Introduction: Patients with neuroendocrine tumors are often misdiagnosed, at least for the first stage of the disease. In fact, carcinoid syndrome is the clinical expression of the vasoactive substances produce. Carcinoid heart disease is a hazardous and irreversible complication especially in late identified cases.

#3269 A carcinoid heart revealing a neuroendocrine tumor

Introduction: Carcinoid heart disease can occur in patients with a carcinoid tumor and is defined by the presence of right organic valve disease. These are mainly patients with carcinoid syndrome, often with delayed diagnosis. The difficulty of this pathology is due to its rarity and the fact that it involves several medical and surgical specialties.

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors account for less than 25% of lung cancers.Which is a rare malignant tumor with an aggressive profile has often already affected lymph nodes at presentation and it is de novo metastatic in nearly 40% of cases.
