#4146 Anticancer activity of Cabozantinib and Temozolomide in cell lines derived from lung carcinoid and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: Limited therapeutic options are available for patients with advanced neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). Cabozantinib (CBZ), a tyrosine kinase inhibitor including c-MET pathway, and Temozolomide (TMZ), an alkylating agent enhancing the anti-angiogenic effect of CBZ, are emerging as promising treatments in NENs.

#3670 Response to peptide receptor radionuclide therapy in pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas – A systematic review and meta-analysis

Introduction: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with 177Lu-DOTATATE and 90Y-DOTATOC has shown efficacy in the metastatic setting of pheochromocytomas (PCCs) and paragangliomas (PGLs) where no standard therapies have been established.

#3483 A phase II single arm interventional trial evaluating the activity and safety of combination between CABOzantinib and TEMozolomide (TMZ) in lung and GEP-NENs progressive after SSAs, everolimus, sunitinib or PRRT-CABOTEM

Introduction: Cabozantinib (Cbz), a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and Temozolomide (TMZ), an alkylating agent, show relevant clinical implications in neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENS). In glioma patients, the combination of Cbz and TMZ was well tolerated even with the addition of radiotherapy. It is possible to hypothesize a synergistic combination of Cbz and TMZ. Cbz, through the inhibition of the c-MET pathway, could enhance the sensitivity of NENs to TMZ. In addition, the intermittent metronomic schedule of TMZ has a proven anti-angiogenic activity that could be additive and/or enhance the anti-angiogenic effect of Cbz.

#3476 A phase II single arm trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of Temozolomide for second-line treatment of neuroendocrine carcinomas progressing after first-line platinum-based therapy

Introduction: Second-line treatment for neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) have been investigated in prospective trials, with only few prospective trials ongoing. Therefore, there is no consensus on the second-line regimen to use in patients with progressive NEC. These patients have generally a poor performance status (PS) and the tolerance to combination therapy is low. Metronomic temozolomide showed, in retrospective trials, a good safety and efficacy profile.
