A New Possibility in SI-NET Surgery by Using a New β- Probe and 90Y-DOTATOC: A Pilot Study
Introduction:
In neuroendocrine tumor (NET), complete surgery could better the prognosis of this disease: radioguided surgery (RGS) with beta-radioisotopes, as 90Y, is a novel approach focused on developing a new probe which, detecting electrons and operating with low background, provides a clearer delineation of the margins of lesions with low radiation exposition for surgeons.
