#4095 CAPTEM and PRRT to improve overall response for pancreatic NETs (pNETs) – The CORONET trial

Introduction: Patients with advanced pNETs have limited treatment options. The NETTER-2 and OCLURANDOM trials have established peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) as a standard treatment in pNETs; CAPTEM chemotherapy is an active regimen in NENs. The CONTROL NETs trial has shown promising response rate and progression-free survival with PRRT+CAPTEM, warranting further investigation.

Introduction: STZ-5FU and everolimus are frontline options for systemic treatment in patients with advanced and progressive pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (panNETs). Switch between both upon progression is a common strategy, but the best sequence is not yet well established.

#3445 The epidemiology of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) in the North-East of England and a systematic review of literature

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) are rare, slow-growing malignancies with unknown aetiology and an increasing incidence was observed globally. With limited research on GEP-NET epidemiology, the reasons behind incidence disparities across countries remain unclear. Whether this increase was a true phenomenon or confounded by factors including diagnostic advancement, environment, and classification evolution needs further enquiry.

#3041 Resource Use in Patients with Carcinoid Syndrome: A Retrospective Analysis Using the French Health Insurance National (SNDS) Database

Introduction: About 20% of patients (pts) with neuroendocrine tumors (NET) suffer from carcinoid syndrome (CS), mainly from ileum and lung NET. Pts with CS experience symptoms such as diarrhea, flushes and cardiac complications. The diarrhea occurs in almost all pts with CS and can be truly debilitating. Therefore, on top of the tumor, the burden of the symptoms further impairs quality of life and is associated with additional costs related to symptom management and pts follow-up.
