Introduction: Diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia (DIPNECH) often presents with symptoms of cough and dyspnoea. DIPNECH remains understudied, and response to somatostatin analogues (SSAs) has been reported in a few small series.

Introduction: There is an unmet clinical need to identify new, effective therapies for patients with neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). Analysis of single-cell expression data revealed that NETs express high levels of the Bcl2 family of antiapoptotic proteins. Therefore, we hypothesised that proapoptotic drugs, such as BH3-mimetics, can induce programmed cell death, i.e., apoptosis, of neuroendocrine cancer cells.

Introduction: LuTate therapy is an effective treatment for patients with somatostatin receptor expressing NEN. However, patients (pts) with functional tumours may develop an acute flare of symptoms during or after PRRT.

#4470 Demystifying DIPNECH: Updates from a new longitudinal patient registry
Introduction: Diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia (DIPNECH) was first characterised in 1992 with a case series describing 6 patients with neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia, with cough and dyspnoea. Since that time, DIPNECH has remained understudied.

#4303 Carcinoid crisis: Insights from an ENETS Center of Excellence
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are rare tumours, with up to 30% being functional and associated with carcinoid syndrome (CS). CS commonly presents with flushing, diarrhoea, and hemodynamic instability, and can progress to carcinoid crisis (CC), a severe, potentially fatal complication during surgery or other invasive procedures. The use of prophylactic octreotide infusion peri-operatively remains controversial. The lack of a universal CC definition also poses a challenge for standardised outcome assessments.
