#4426 A case of giant neuroendocrine tumour of unknown primary site

Introduction: The liver is a common site for metastatic neuroendocrine tumours. NETs primary to the liver are rare, and it is difficult to determine whether a neuroendocrine tumour in the liver is primary or metastatic in patients in whom no tumour has been found elsewhere.

#3664 Cannabis and endocannabinoid system modulation as novel strategies to improve conventional treatment outcomes and overcome drug resistance in neuroendocrine neoplasms in-vitro & in-vivo models

Introduction: NENs are treated with systemic therapies with limited non-curable efficacy due to development of drug resistance (DR). While cannabis and its extracts (cannabinoids, CE) are mostly used for their palliation properties, increasing evidence suggests an anticancer trait via several cellular pathways. Limited data exist on cannabis and the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in NENs and their impact on the development of DR.

#3585 Belzutifan, an oral hypoxia-inducible factor 2α inhibitor, for Von Hippel-Lindau disease–associated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: Constitutive activation of hypoxia-inducible factor 2α (HIF-2α) drives tumor growth, which include pancreatic lesions (serous cystadenomas and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors [pNETs]), in Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease. Belzutifan, an oral HIF-2α inhibitor, is approved for patients with VHL disease based on the results of this ongoing open-label phase 2 study (NCT03401788).

#3443 Prospective phase II trial of prognostication by 68Ga-NOTA-AE105 uPAR PET in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms: Implications for uPAR targeted therapy

Introduction: Non-invasive tools to improve prognostication are warranted in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN). Expression of urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) is present in many cancer types and associated with a poor outcome, but largely unknown in NEN. uPAR-targeted radionuclide therapy has proven effective in preclinical models and uPAR may be a potential target in NEN patients.
