#3335 Efficacy of somatostatin analogue (SSA) monotherapy for well-differentiated grade 3 (G3) gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs)

Introduction: Currently, there is minimal published data on the efficacy of SSAs for well-differentiated G3 NETs. Randomized trials have demonstrated a progression-free survival (PFS) benefit and limited response for lower grade 1-2 NETs, but the optimal therapy for metastatic G3 NETs is unknown.

#3256 Surgical outcomes in extrapulmonary G3 neuroendocrine neoplasms

Introduction: Incidence of high-grade neuroendocrine (NE) neoplasms (G3NENs) is increasing. Heterogeneity of these tumors (well-differentiated NE tumors, G3NETs; poorly differentiated NE carcinomas, NEC) presents obstacles to clinical management and role of surgery is uncertain. Majority of published data suggest benefit of surgery in NECs limited to localized disease. Role of surgery in G3NET remains ill-defined.
