#4511 Sequencing chemotherapy and radiotherapy leading to complete remission in a patient with highly aggressive, advanced neuroendocrine cancer of unknown origin

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms arise from endocrine cells throughout the body, primary tumour may be localised in various organs. Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) is very aggressive form of these tumours with survival limited usually to a few months despite oncological treatment.

#3306 Secondary debulking of renal neuroendocrine tumor

Introduction: We presented a case of 54-year-old woman with anamnesis of left nefrectomy due to tumor of left kidney in august 2006. Histology showed well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of kidney (renal carcinoid tumor). MAI (mitotic activity index) were less then 1mf/10HPF. Imunohostechemistry examination showed positive of cytokeratins, chromogranin A, synaptofyzin. One metastatic lymph node was captured. Final stage of tumor was T1N1Mx. Patient was regularly followed in oncological ambulance.

#1682 Clinicohistopathological Features and Treatment Outcomes of Neuroendocrine Tumors; A Single Center Experience

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are very heterogeneous family of cancers.Tumor and patient characteristics of NETs significantly change between geographical locations that probably induced by environmental and genetic factors throughout the world. Therefore, reporting single center experience may help to clarify epidemiological view and to improve the decision-making process.
