#4516 A methylation-based classifier for neuroendocrine tumour detection using smMIP technology

Introduction: DNA methylation plays an important role in NET pathogenesis. Distinct methylation profiles can differentiate between tumour subtypes, predict malignancy potential, and provide insights into tumour progression.

#4463 Evaluating multi-visceral resection for locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PNETs): Feasibility, safety and complications

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PNETs) are rare but clinically significant neoplasms. Surgery can play a significant role in the multimodal treatment of PNETs. Multi-visceral resection involving organs in the left upper quadrant (LUQ) can be used with curative or cytoreductive intent in selected cases.

#4378 Hypoxic signalling in pancreatic NETs (pNETs)

Introduction: In a genomic profiling study conducted as part of the COMPOSE Phase III multicentre open-labelled clinical trial we assessed 9 pNET patients, 2 of which showed upregulation of CA9 and hypoxic signalling. Hypoxic tumour cells present CA9 for extracellular proton channelling, maintenance of intracellular pH and to acidify and thereby vascularise and immune-suppress the TME. In normoxia, EGLN1-3 hydroxylate proline residues of HIF1A for its subsequent ubiquitination by the VHL-complex resulting in degradation and repression of its target genes.
