Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma (pNEC) and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET) are two types of tumors with distinct biological behaviour and prognosis. Few studies demonstrated the prognostic risk factors and survival model of pNEC and pNEC separately.

Introduction: In 2012, many nation-wide gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists have established Japan NeuroEndocrine Tumor Society (JNETS) in Japan. JNETS is now composed of 304 institutes.
