#3321 Calcitonin secreting neuroendocrine neoplasms of the lung: A systematic review
Introduction: Calcitonin (CTN) secreting neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) of the lung are rare, with few cases reported in the literature. Differentiating between medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) and ectopic source of calcitonin secretion can represent a complex diagnostic conundrum for managing physicians with cases of unnecessary thyroidectomy reported in the literature.

Introduction: Despite the introduction of new molecular targeted therapies, there is still an unmet need for an effective systemic therapy for advanced medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).
