#4500 Effectiveness of palbociclib plus letrozole as first line therapy of metastatic breast neuroendocrine carcinoma: A case report

Introduction: Palbociclib plus endocrine therapy is the standard treatment of advanced luminal breast cancer. However, we lack data on its effectiveness in breast neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC).

#4319 Everolimus combined with orlistat inhibits the development of neuroendocrine tumours by inhibiting the mTOR-PI3K-Akt signalling pathway

Introduction: Everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in NET treatment. Orlistat, used primarily for obesity management, inhibits fat absorption. This study investigates the potential synergistic effects of Everolimus combined with Orlistat on the development of NETs.

#1507 The CDK4/6 Inhibitor Palbociclib Induces Anti-proliferative Mechanisms in Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms In Vitro

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs) are rare tumors with heterogeneous molecular backgrounds and mostly unknown druggable driver mutations. Especially for the midgut NENs effective treatment options are limited. The retinoblastoma pathway is often inactive due to CDK4/6 overexpression in pancreatic NENs. Palbociclib is a FDA approved (ER-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer) cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 inhibitor and might impair cell cycle progression and proliferation.

#1090 p27kip1 Is Involved in the Resistance of Human Bronchial Carcinoids to m-TOR Inhibitors

Introduction: Bronchial carcinoids (BC) are still orphan of medical therapy. We previously demonstrated that the typical BC human cell line NCI-H727 is sensitive to Everolimus (E), in terms of cell viability reduction, with a G0 cell-cycle arrest, while the atypical human BC cell line NCI-H720 is not. The mechanisms underlying this phenomenon have not been clarified

#962 Cyclin D1 Levels are Involved in the Resistance to m-TOR Inhibitors in Human Bronchial Carcinoids

Introduction: Bronchial carcinoids (BC) are still orphans of medical therapy. We previously demonstrated that the typical BC human cell line NCI-H727 is sensitive to Everolimus, in terms of cell viability reduction, while the atypical human BC cell line NCI-H720 is not. However, the mechanisms underlying this phenomenon have not been fully clarified.
