#4347 Mixed neuroendocrine non-neuroendocrine neoplasm associated with gastric autoimmunity: A clinicopathological analysis of two cases

Introduction: Two cases of mixed neuroendocrine tumour - gastric adenocarcinoma were found in patients with autoimmune atrophic gastritis. Both components expressed synaptophysin, initially suggesting a neuroendocrine tumour diagnosis. However, further examination confirmed the presence of gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type.

#3226 Immunohistochemical staining with neuroendocrine markers is essential in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine neoplasms of the esophagogastric junction

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) of the esophagogastric junction (EGJ) are uncommon and the classification of these tumors has been revised several times. Since 2016, at the Department of Pathology, Rigshospitalet, Denmark, all adenocarcinomas (ACs) and poorly differentiated carcinomas of the EGJ have been stained routinely with the neuroendocrine markers, Synaptophysin and Chromogranin A, in order to detect a possible neuroendocrine component.

#3215 Mixed neuroendocrine non-neuroendocrine neoplasm of the ampulla of Vater: Case Report

Introduction: Mixed neuroendocrine non-neuroendocrine neoplasm (MiNEN) is defined as a tumor composed of both neuroendocrine and non-neuroendocrine components. MiNEN of the ampulla of Vater is a rare neuroendocrine tumor of the gastrointestinal tract.
