Introduction: Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1 is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by parathyroid, pancreatic islet and pituitary tumors. Early diagnosis should be achieved in patients with MEN1.

Introduction: Recent studies have identified a growing series of susceptibility genes for pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs) and pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas (PPGL). Some of these genes (e.g., SDH genes) have be specifically associated with the development of these pathologies.

Introduction: ACTH secreting neuroendocrine tumors can be a pituitary adenoma, an ectopic tumor, or very rarely - pituitary carcinoma. The identification of the primary neuroendocrine tumor can be challenging or even unsuccessful.

#3062 The Splicing Factor CELF4 Is Dysregulated in Neuroendocrine Tumors, Where It Can Enhance Aggressiveness Features

Introduction: There is increasing evidence that alterations in alternative splicing are linked to key tumor features in different cancers. Besides mutations, dysregulation of the splicing machinery would represent the main underlying cause for these alterations. Indeed, splicing dysregulation is emerging as a novel, transversal cancer hallmark, due to its association with multiple dysfunctions in tumor cells.
