Characteristics of clinical features of MEN1-associated and sporadic insulinomas – One clinical center experience
Introduction:
Insulinomas are usually small, benign tumors that can be radically treated surgically. They may occur as sporadic or be associated with hereditary syndromes, (mainly MEN1 syndrome). In such cases, they may differ in clinical presentation including risk of recurrence and dissemination after curative surgery, which translates into long-term therapy effects.

Exclusive Hotspot Mutation of YY1 Gene in Insulinomas and Extensive Mutation of DAXX in PNETs
Introduction:
Somatic mutation of YY1 was shown in sporadic insulinoma, the main type of functional PNET. DAXX mutation occurred mainly in NF-PNET. However, YY1 and DAXX mutations in non-insulinomas and insulinomas, respectively, have not been well elucidated.

Endoscopic ultrasound of 66 insulinomas
Introduction:
Ultrasound is the virtual representation of the morphology of organs and tissues. Endoscopic ultrasound can be used in detailed scanning of pancreas and preoperative topical diagnostics of insulinomas. Insulinoma requires surgical treatment in all cases. This fact allows control of preoperative diagnostic methods.

Reduced expression of p27 and the occurrence of CpG island methylator phenotype in insulinomas
Introduction:
The molecular pathogenesis of sporadic insulinoma is unclear, though some of the genes were found to be slienced by promoter methylation. CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) was found in a number of common tumors and correlated with loss of expression of p27, which may contribute to the tumorigenesis of the tumors.
