Comparison of the diagnostic value of 68Ga-DOTANOC, 18F-FDOPA, and18F-FDG PET/CT for metastatic paraganglioma

Introduction: Functional imaging is important for precise treatment for metastatic paraganglioma (PGL).

Aim(s): Our purpose is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 68Ga-DOTANOC, 18F-DOPA, and 18F-FDG PET/CT in metastatic paraganglioma.

Materials and methods: This single-center retrospective study included 34 metastatic PGL patients who underwent two or three examinations with 18F-DOPA, 18F-FDG and 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT. The lesion-based sensitivity of PET/CT was compared by Chi-square test. A double-tailed p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The number of metastases detected was compared by the Paired t test in head-to-head study.
