Effect of resection timing as part of multidisciplinary treatment for pancreatic NEN liver metastases

#3643

Introduction: Liver metastases are treated by resection if radical resection is possible as a part of multidisciplinary treatment along with pharmacotherapy and TACE.

Aim(s): The aim of this study is to determine the difference in therapeutic effect depending on the timing of resection within the multidisciplinary treatment.

Materials and methods: From January 2006 to December 2020, 30 patients with pancreatic NEN who had liver metastasis and underwent radical resection from January 2006 to December 2020 were included in the study. The median age of the patients was 59.5 (29-76) years, the male to female ratio was 13:17 with a slight female predominance, and the median Ki-67 of the primary tumor was 4.5 (1-30) %. Clinicopathological factors, progression-free survival in each treatment, and overall survival of the patients were analysed.
