High uptake of 18F-FDG in the primary tumor of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor is an independent predictor for lymph nodes metastasis

#3784

Introduction: Operation is primary treatment of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET). However, the indications for resection and lymph node dissection are still controversial.

Aim(s): The purpose of our study was to evaluate the value of 18F-FDG and 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT to assist in treatment selection.

Materials and methods: 43 patients with pNET were retrospectively analysed, who underwent 18F-FDG (n=24) and 68Ga-DOTANOC (n=43) PET/CT for preoperative assessment and underwent surgical resection between July 2021 to August 2022. Lymph nodes dissections were performed in all the patients. Clinical characteristics, imaging parameters and pathological results were reviewed and compared statistically.
