Risk factors of the distant metastasis in rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms: A 10-year retrospective multi-center study in China

#3205

Introduction: The research about risk factors of distant metastasis in rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (R-NENs) based on multi-center data is rare.

Aim(s): This study aims to explore the potential risk factors affecting the distant metastasis for R-NENs patients.

Materials and methods: This study was a 10-year (2001-2010) nationwide multi-center retrospective study. We recruited R-NENs patients with confirmed pathological diagnosis in 23 hospitals from 7 geographic regions. The basic demographic information, risk factors, and clinical pathological characteristics were collected based on the self-designed case report form (CRF).
