Treatment outcomes in patients with localized and advanced glucagonomas – A case series
#3734
Introduction: Glucagonomas are rare functional pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, which are often metastatic at diagnosis. Due to their low prevalence, the effectiveness of available treatment modalities remains unclear.
Aim(s): To assess the response to surgical and systemic therapies in our cohort of glucagonoma patients.
Materials and methods: Nineteen patients were reviewed retrospectively. Disease-free survival (DFS) and/or median PFS (progression-free survival) were calculated for each administered therapy (tx), radiological assessment was based on RECIST. The median overall survival (OS) was estimated, in association with tumor features at diagnosis.
