#3091 A review of outcomes of two sets of 100 consecutive cases of cutaneous basal cell carcinomas of the head and neck managed in an oral and maxillofacial unit at a district general hospital

Introduction: Basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) are often regarded as the ‘mildest’ form of skin cancer, and are the most common type of skin cancer in the United Kingdom [1]. There are various forms of treatment for BCCs. In an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) unit, the majority of lesions are surgically excised, followed by histopathological examination to determine completeness of excision. This study aimed to analyse the outcome of cases of BCCs excised in our OMFS unit.
