#2885 Ectopic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: An Occult Source of ACTH

Introduction: About 250 cases of ectopic ACTH-producing neuroendocrine carcinoma (ACTH-NEC) have been reported; however metastatic ACTH-NEC of unknown primary is very rare. Usually are characterized by having a large cell, small cell, poorly differentiated or anaplastic cell, and Ki-67 index between 40-90%.

#2233 Potential Effects of Ketoconazole on ACTH-Producing and Non-ACTH-Producing Neuroendocrine Tumors

Introduction: Prolonged biochemical remission after treatment with steroidogenesis inhibitors has been described in patients with Cushing’s syndrome due to ectopic adrenocorticotropin hormone (ACTH) production. Some studies have suggested antiproliferative and apoptotic effect of ketoconazole in human cancer cells.

#2193 Advanced Gastric Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: A Diagnostic and Management Conundrum

Introduction: Gastric neuroendocrine carcinomas are rare tumors with a high malignant trait and poor prognosis. Endogenous hypercortisolism associated with neuroendocrine carcinomas can have a negative impact on patients' survival.

#2064 The Difficulties in Managing Metastatic Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours (pNETs) Causing Cushing’s Syndrome (CS)

Introduction: The pNETs causing CS are very rare and aggressive. Despite the use of various therapeutic modalities, their management is not well-established, representing nowadays a challenge.

#1838 A Rare Case of Ectopic Cushing's Syndrome

Introduction: Cushing's syndrome has an incidence of 0.7 - 2.4 per million people per year. In 15% of cases, it’s associated with non-pituitary tumors secreting ACTH. Pheochromocytoma accounts for 5% of ectopic ACTH secretion.
