#4647 Crosstalk between cancer-associated fibroblasts and small intestinal neuroendocrine tumour cells in a 3D spheroid model

Introduction: At diagnosis, over 50% of small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours (SI-NETs) have metastasised to the mesentery where they often induce extensive fibrosis. Recent studies highlight the crucial interaction between SI-NET cells and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the pathogenesis of mesenteric fibrosis (MF).

#4591 Efficacy of Trabectedin and Olaparib in homologous repair deficient neuroendocrine neoplasms – A subgroup analysis of the TOP-ART / PMO-1603 trial

Introduction: Genomic alterations resulting in homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) occur in a variety of cancers including neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN). HRD-positive tumours are sensitive to PARP inhibitors such as olaparib. The DNA minor groove binder trabectedin leads to DNA double strand breaks and PARP activation. The combination of Trabectedin + Olaparib (TrO) may therefore have synergistic effects in HRD-positive tumours.

Introduction: Limited options exist for advanced G2/G3 NETs. While combined anti-angiogenic and chemotherapy has shown improved effect, the efficacy of surufatinib combined with CAPTEM for NETs remains under-explored.

#4427 Surufatinib combined with hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) as second-line and maintenance therapy for neuroendocrine carcinoma with liver metastases: A single-arm, open-label, single-centre phase II clinical study (SuHaNec)

Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) is rare and highly aggressive, and liver metastasis leads to worse outcomes for patients (pts) with limited treatment options and poor prognosis. Surufatinib (SUR) exhibited promising antitumour activity in neuroendocrine neoplasms.

#4399 Updated data from a single-arm, open-label, multicentre clinical study on the efficacy and safety of surufatinib combined with EP regimen and serplulimab in first-line treatment of NEC

Introduction: NEC is an aggressive neuroendocrine neoplasm with limited treatment options. Surufatinib (SUR), a kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFRs, FGFR-1, and CSF-1R, improves vascular normalisation and tumour microenvironment, synergising with chemo- and immunotherapy.
