#4217 Prediction of recurrence for grade 1-2 small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasms after curative-intended resection

Introduction: In patients with grade 1 to 2 small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasms (SB-NEN) reccurrence rates are reported up to 50%. No prediction tools exist yet to identify patients at high-risk for recurrence in SB-NENs.

#3719 Outcomes of surgical treatment for small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasms – The first preliminary results of the international study group for small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasm surgery registry

Introduction: Evidence for surgical treatment of small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasms (SB-NEN) often originates from single center studies. This is the first project of international study group for small bowel neuroendocrine neoplasm surgery, aiming to build and an observational registry to facilitate future research projects and randomized clinical trials.

#3237 Soluble urokinase Plasminogen Activator Receptor (suPAR) serum levels are elevated in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasia

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasia (NEN) represent a heterogeneous group of malignancies that might be challenging to diagnose. In case of advanced disease stages and especially in cases of poorly differentiated (G3) NEN, patients face a dismal prognosis. Therefore, innovative biomarkers allowing an early diagnosis as well as an optimal selection of suitable treatment options might help to improve clinical management of these patients.
