#4095 CAPTEM and PRRT to improve overall response for pancreatic NETs (pNETs) – The CORONET trial

Introduction: Patients with advanced pNETs have limited treatment options. The NETTER-2 and OCLURANDOM trials have established peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) as a standard treatment in pNETs; CAPTEM chemotherapy is an active regimen in NENs. The CONTROL NETs trial has shown promising response rate and progression-free survival with PRRT+CAPTEM, warranting further investigation.

#3555 Risk of myelodysplastic syndrome/acute leukemia with sequential capecitabine/temozolomide and 177Lu-dotatate

Introduction: The treatment landscape for neuroendocrine tumors includes alkylating-agent chemotherapy and peptide receptor radiotherapy (PRRT) with 177Lu-Dotatate. The risk of MDS/AML associated with 177Lu-Dotatate is approximately 2-3%. Several small prior studies have suggested substantially higher rates of MDS/AML (approximately 10%) in patients who have also received alkylating agent chemotherapy with streptozocin or temozolomide, either combined with PRRT or sequentially.

#2047 IMMUNeOCT Study: The Role of Octreotide LAR in Modulating the Immune Response in Patient with Neuroendocrine Tumors. EudraCT Number 2017-001613-83

Introduction: SSAs are used in the treatment of G1/G2 Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN) in order to control symptoms and induce tumor shrinkage with an excellent tolerability profile. The role of immune response is crucial in defining the clinical response to treatment through the active stimulation of effector cells (T and NK cells) but also through the inhibition of tumor-induced immune suppression. The immune regulatory cells CD4-CD25-expressing Tregs and myeloid cellsMDSC can contribute to disease progression through various mechanisms.
