Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are rare and heterogeneous, comprising 2% of all malignancies, with progressively increasing incidence. Most arise sporadically and the most frequent primary sites are gastrointestinal and lung.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNETs) are rare, with liver metastases posing significant prognostic challenges. MEN1-associated pNETs often present with multifocal and complex disease, requiring a tailored, multidisciplinary approach.

#4023 Empowering patients with neuroendocrine tumors through a mobile app: NETcare
Introduction: Patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NET) face unmet needs across various domains, encompassing treatment and symptom management. Addressing the diverse challenges requires a proactive multidisciplinary team and well-informed patients. The integration of mobile apps proves invaluable in maintaining comprehensive records of patients' experiences between medical appointments.

Introduction: Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU) is well established in this regional cancer centre, it allows patients to contact a cancer specialist team based on symptoms and individual circumstances. Patients are empowered to manage follow-up remotely, undertaking cancer surveillance tests and accessing results through the digital system MyMedicalRecord (MyMR).

Introduction: The diagnosis of carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is often made late and requires a highly experienced team to manage multiple issues, such as heart failure, carcinoid symptoms and poor nutrition. Prior to December 2018 NET (Neuroendocrine Tumor) and cardiac teams were working in isolation, this resulted in missed opportunities for intervention and comprehensive review. It was evident we needed to build closer collaborations with our cardiac colleagues, to ensure timely assessment, optimisation of symptoms and improve patients’ overall experience. The Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) were fundamental in establishing a twice monthly CHD/NET multidisciplinary team meeting and monthly joint NET/CHD clinic. Patients were kept informed at each stage by the CNS, either during telephone consultation, ward visit or at clinic appointments.
