#3869 Sunitinib for the treatment of advanced pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas – A phase 2 clinical trial

Introduction: Malignant pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors with limited treatment options. Here, we report the preliminary results of SUTNET trial assessing safety and efficacy of sunitinib in advanced/unresectable PPGLs.

#3733 New insights on the clinical role of Ki-67 and spindle cell and oncocytic histological variants in lung carcinoid tumors

Introduction: WHO classification defines lung carcinoid tumors (LCTs) as well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms classified in typical (TC) and atypical carcinoids (AC). Morphologic factors and protein expression able to predict recurrence after surgical curative resection are little known. Ki-67 and spindle cell and oncocytic histological variants may impact on differential diagnosis, but their clinical relevance is much debated.
