Introduction: It has been reported that sex is an important predictor of survival of NEN patients using data from the UK NCRAS database. The same statistical methods have not been applied to US SEER data.

Introduction: Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU) is well established in this regional cancer centre, it allows patients to contact a cancer specialist team based on symptoms and individual circumstances. Patients are empowered to manage follow-up remotely, undertaking cancer surveillance tests and accessing results through the digital system MyMedicalRecord (MyMR).

Introduction: Carcinoid Heart Disease (CHD) as a result of long standing carcinoid syndrome is associated with a poor prognosis due to development of valvular incompetence & right heart failure. Cardiac valve surgery is the main therapeutic option.

#1148 Ki67 as a Prognostic Marker in Neuroendocrine Tumours: A Systematic Review of the Literature and Quantitative Synthesis of 5 year Survival Data

Introduction: The ENETS guidelines classify Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours (GEP NETs) according to the histological assessment of tumour mitotic count or Ki67 labelling index (LI) on paraffin-embedded tissue, because proliferation rate has been shown to strongly correlate with prognosis. Since the guidelines were published, Ki67 has been established as the more reproducible measure, and further large case series have been reported.
