#4115 Neoadjuvant PRRT with 90Y-DOTATOC: Preliminary results from a monocentric perspective study
Introduction: Surgery is considered the only curative treatment for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs), but it is feasible only in a few patients. A new possible strategy in pNETs is preoperative PRRT, as its cytoreductive effect could increase the efficacy of surgery.

Introduction: Surgery is considered the only curative option in pNET but is feasible only in a minority of patients. A new possible therapeutical strategy in pNETs is preoperative Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) in order to increase the efficacy of surgery.

Introduction: IEO 676 is a prospective phase II study of Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) with Y-90-DOTATOC in progressive G1, G2, G3, neuroendocrine patients. PRRT has been in use since the late 1990s, with the introduction of 90Y-DOTATOC, which allowed objective responses in 10-30% of treated patients.

Introduction: The importance of timely assistance in oncological patients is undeniable; however it is well known that these patients could have important clinical problems if they were infected by COVID-19, with an increased risk of severe illness and mortality. A recent multicenter Italian study reported a delay both in the beginning of PRRT for new patients and in those ones who had already started the treatment, as a direct consequence of COVID-19.
