#4471 Acromegaly and small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours: Association or coincidence?

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours of the small intestine (SI-NETs), although rare, are the most prevalent primary neoplasms of this organ. Acromegaly is characterised by excessive secretion of growth hormone (GH), typically due to a pituitary adenoma, but in rare cases, it can result from ectopic secretion of GH-releasing hormone (GHRH) by non-pituitary tumours, particularly NETs of the lung or pancreas.

#4062 Incidence patterns and clinical implications of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients (pts) with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN)

Introduction: VTE is a significant complication in oncology and one of the primary causes of cancer-related mortality. Few studies have addressed VTE in pts with NEN, with an estimated incidence of 7.5% in the literature. Nevertheless, there is no evidence from large datasets.

#3236 The role of clinical trials study coordinator (SC) in the era of theragnosis in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): Challenges and opportunities

Introduction: Since new radiopharmaceuticals have emerged as cancer treatment, Lutecium177 in NET, and Radium-223 in prostate cancer, there has been an increase in clinical trials (CT) based on theragnosis. This scenario represents an organizational challenge to the coordination of nuclear medicine (NM), radiopharmacy (RP), and medical oncology (MO).

#2837 Development and Initial Validation of a Brief Questionnaire to Assess Patient Satisfaction with Self-Injection of Lanreotide Autogel: Results During a Home Training Programme

Introduction: The long acting formulation of lanreotide autogel(LAN) can facilitate self-injection (SI) by patients or caregivers at home, avoiding visits to health centers. Training by nurses is required to ensure successful SI. Patient satisfaction(PS) is an important outcome of SI and home care programs.
