#3887 Characteristics and management of high grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms – A Belgian retrospective analysis from the DNET & NETwerk registry

Introduction: High grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (HG-GEPNEN) comprise neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) and well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETG3). These entities exhibit many differences in behaviour, prognosis and sensitivity to chemotherapy. Data about their optimal management are still scarce.

#3885 Adaptive immunosuppressive resistance mechanisms towards antiangiogenic immunotherapies revealed in a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) model

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) are mostly indolent but can achieve malignancy. Surgery is the only approved first-line therapy. Kinase inhibitors and radiotherapy for unresectable PNETs are non-curative and targeted therapies are currently lacking for PNETs. However, immune checkpoint inhibitors have created a paradigm shift in cancer therapy with significant increase in overall survival, but are curative only in a subset of patients, partly due to limited T cell infiltration, especially in angiogenic and cold tumors like PNETs. Parallelly, antiangiogenic therapy increases lymphocyte infiltration by normalising the tumor vasculature. Tallying antiangiogenic to immunotherapies (AI) has provided improved survival benefits for patients of advanced RCCs and HCCs, while other cancers like glioblastoma remain highly resistant.

#3500 HomeLAN: An international online survey to assess satisfaction with injection experience of patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) enrolled in lanreotide autogel (LAN) Patient Support Programmes (PSPs)

Introduction: LAN is a long-term treatment for NETs, delivered in a ready-to-use syringe by monthly, deep subcutaneous injection. LAN PSPs aim to assist patients receiving their treatment at home, reducing both travel burden and the current risk of COVID-19 exposure. Furthermore, after training patients on stable dose can administer LAN independently (self or non-healthcare professional), where approved.

#1235 The Belgian DNET Registry: A Prospective, National, Web-Based Registry of Digestive Neuro-Endocrine Tumours (NET). Status After 2 Years of Inclusion.

Introduction: NET are rare neoplasms. The Belgian Group of Digestive Oncology created a web-based registry to have an overview on incidence, diagnosis and therapies performed in Belgian pts. The DNET registry was launched in 01/2012.
