Researchers have shown that tumor cells produce and secrete more exosomes compared with normal cells. Serum amyloid A1 (SAA1) is elevated in patients with liver cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and endometrial cancer. However, the relation between SAA1 and GEP-NENs remains unclear.
