Introduction: Neuroendocrine breast carcinoma is a rare histological form of breast cancer, that represent 0.1% of all breast cancers and is recognised by the World Health Organization as a distinct entity. Characterised by a non-specific clinical and radiological presentation. Therapeutic management is not codified and is usually superimposed on that of classical breast cancer.

Introduction: Primary neuroendocrine carcinomas of the breast are rare, accounting for only 2 to 5% of all breast cancers. These tumours have recently been included in the latest WHO classification of breast tumours. The diagnosis can be challenging due to its uncommon presentation and overlap with other breast pathologies.

Introduction: Breast carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation, also known as breast carcinoma (NEBC), (1) includes a heterogeneous group of rare tumors, which account for 2–5% of (2.3) all invasive breast carcinomas, less than 1% of neuroendocrine tumors. Large cell carcinoma of the breast represente < 0.1% of primary breast cancers; rarer than small cell carcinoma. Occur mainly in the 6th decade (2).

#4108 Clinical and epidemiological profile of neuroendocrine differentiation – A hospital-based retrospective study

Introduction: Global research on neuroendocrine differentiation (NED) in carcinomas remains limited, despite its distinct clinical features, disease progression, pathology, treatment outcomes, and poor prognosis. At the 2023 ENETS Conference, we presented our findings on NED in gastric cancer and colorectal cancer. However, more studies are essential to better comprehend NED's clinical and epidemiological aspects.
