Introduction: Baseline and interim (after 2 cycles) somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-directed PET/CTs are essential in patients with gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumours (GI-NET) undergoing peptide radioreceptor therapy (PRRT).

#4428 Tumour-derived apolipoprotein E drives temozolomide chemoresistance by reprogramming lipid metabolism and activating the homologous recombination repair pathway in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Temozolomide (TMZ) is a first-class clinical drug for patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNETs). However, the therapeutic effects of TMZ are limited because of the chemoresistance of pNET cells.

#4357 Proof of concept and design of an externally controlled trial for patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine carcinomas based on the randomised phase II BEVANEC trial

Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinomas of digestive or unknown primary trials are challenging to perform because of disease rarity. BEVANEC trial randomised 126 patients to FOLFIRI +/- bevacizumab in second line, over 5 years, and reported similar overall survival (OS) in both arms.

#4356 Assessment of medium- and long-term side effects of Lu-177 treatment in patients with neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: PRRT with Lu-177 has advanced the treatment of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), adding a valuable tool against them. This study aims to assess its long-term impact, especially on the most radio-exposed organs—kidneys and bone marrow—and the reproducibility of in vivo clinical trial results (PFS).

#4209 Transcriptomic and spliceosomic landscapes of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors generated through Oxford Nanopore Technology sequencing

Introduction: Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) are rare neoplasms with heterogenous nature, still poorly understood. Their low mutational burden has prompted to explore other molecular aspects, from epigenomics to transcriptomics. Increasing evidence indicates that transcriptomic changes, often derived from alterations in alternative splicing, can generate isoforms with oncogenic potential. In this context, long-read Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) has emerged as an ideal suited sequencing tool to deeply study transcriptomics and splicing variants.
