#4570 Diagnosis of carcinoid heart disease continues to be late delayed

Introduction: Carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is a serious complication of neuroendocrine tumours. It affects patients with carcinoid syndrome and results from fibrotic deposits on the heart valves. It significantly impacts patient prognosis.

#4520 Is late diagnosis and carcinoid heart disease (CaHD) associated with deprivation index? – An audit of practice and assessment of deprivation index in Sheffield ENETS Centre of Excellence

Introduction: Delays to diagnosis in neuroendocrine neoplasms is a world-wide problem. Challenges and inequities recognised include low awareness and access to expert centres. Indices of multiple deprivation (IMD) assess the least to the most deprived areas in the UK, 1 being the most deprived of the 10 deciles.
