Introduction: Patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) have few treatment options and poor prognosis. Cordycepin is a natural compound originally isolated from Cordyceps militaris. It has the potential to treat cancer by regulating multiple cellular signaling pathways. However, its anticancer effect and pharmacological mechanism in NETs have not been clarified.

#3876 Comprehensive characterization of the NET methylome
Introduction: The methylome holds great promise for biomarker discovery in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), as changes in DNA methylation allow differentiation into relevant subgroups and reveal tissue of origin. However, a comprehensive characterization of the NET methylome is lacking, hampering biological insight and meaningful biomarker selection.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) are classified as carcinomas (pNECs), and tumors (pNETs). Their handling is challenging and understanding their carcinogenesis process including genetic-epigenetic relations is crucial for their clinical management.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors may develop sporadically or as part of an inherited disease, such as von Hippel-Lindau (VHL). VHL disease is caused by a germline pathogenic variant in the VHL gene encoding VHL protein (pVHL). Hypoxia inducible factor (HIF) is responsible for cellular oxygen supply. Its degradation is mediated in normoxic states via ubiquitination and inhibited by pVHL. Hence, pVHL deficiency leads to pseudohypoxia due to HIF overexpression. Several studies suggested immunomodulatory role for HIF in kidney cancer.
