Introduction: Insulinomas are the most frequent functional neuroendocrine tumors of pancreas cause endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia (EHH). In about 10% cases, insulinomas are associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia 1 (MEN1).

#3824 A rare clinical case of giant pituitary ACTH adenoma
Introduction: Cushing's disease is a neuroendocrine disease that is associated with ACTH-secreting pituitary microadenomas whereas macro- and giant adenomas are less common.
Conference:

Keywords: Cushing's disease, giant corticotropinoma, hypercortisolism,
Introduction: Somatostatin analogues (SSA) are often the first line therapy in neuroendocrine tumors (NET). The management of hyperglycaemia and dyslipidaemia are one of the most important challenges in healthcare. The impact of SSA on metabolic profile in GEP-NET is highly debated.

#3767 Metabolic alterations in patients with pheochromocytoma/paragangliomas and SDHB mutations
Introduction: Pheochromocytoma/paragangliomas (PPGL) patients with SDHB mutation may have unfavourable course of disease. SDHB gene inactivation results in up-regulation of glycolytic reaction and activation of pseudo-hypoxic phenotype in preclinical studies.

Keywords: pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma, SDHB,
#3324 Elastographic localization of insulinoma
Introduction: A 15-year-old healthy female, initially admitted with less serious signs of hypoglycemia. Laboratory studies showed a glucose concentration of 1.2 mmol/l and insulin 9.6 μU/ml. Complete blood count, basal metabolic profile, activity of C - reactive protein and urine drug screen, were unremarkable. Fasting test confirmed biochemical signs of insulinoma.

Presenting Author: Uhrík P
Authors: Uhrík P, Nosakova L, Pindura M, Bánovčin P, Hyrdel R,
Keywords: insulinoma, endosonography, elastography,
