#3084 Diffuse Idiopathic Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cell Hyperplasia (DIPNECH): A Case Report and Review of Literature

Introduction: Majority of euroendocrine tumorsare found in the gastrointestinal tract and bronchopulmonary. Multifocal disease is common among patients with low-grade NET. One example of this is diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia. DIPNECH is an extremely rare but indolent disease with predilection for nonsmoking, middle-aged women.

#3074 Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma and DIPNECH: An Unexpected Association

Introduction: Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) is a neuroendocrine tumour of the C-cells of thyroid gland. Diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cells hyperplasia (DIPNECH) is a rare condition, thought to be primarily a neuroendocrine proliferative process which can develop into carcinoid tumours.

#2958 The Blood-based Multigenomic NETest Accurately Identifies Neuroendocrine Transformed Prostate Cancer

Introduction: Neuroendocrine differentiation and an aggressive phenotype is an important feature of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Current biomarkers are unable to detect these advanced, treatment refractory variants.

#2804 Claudin-18 Is a Sensitive and a Specific Marker for Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumors

Introduction: Antibody-based cancer therapies are emerging as promising therapeutics in oncology, including one in clinical trials that targets claudin-18, a protein expressed in normal gastric epithelium and some gastric adenocarcinoma. We currently have no markers for gastric well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

#2754 Somatostatin Analogs (SSA) in Patients with Symptomatic Diffuse Idiopathic Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cell Hyperplasia (DIPNECH)

Introduction: DIPNECH is characterized by a proliferation of pulmonary neuroendocrine cells and multifocal neuroendocrine tumorlets and/or tumors. Although usually indolent, DIPNECH can cause chronic cough and dyspnea. There is very limited information on treatment.
