#4412 25-years of experience with somatostatin receptor-based therapy in patients with small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours are well-differentiated and express type 2 somatostatin receptors (SSTR2). Treatment with somatostatin analogues (SSA) (octreotide or lanreotide) has been a cornerstone in controlling tumour growth for 25 years. Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT), utilising radiolabelled SSA, was introduced in our institution in May 2009 as primarily 2nd line treatment after progression on SSA. The standard PRRT regimen includes 4 cycles of PRRT (7.4 GBq 177Lu-DOTATATE every eight weeks). Re-treatment protocols remain debated.

#4294 Measuring quality of life in patients receiving radionuclide therapy using the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ- C30) and Gastro-intestinal NET (GINET) 21

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours over express somatostatin receptors on the cell surface. These receptors can be targeted by radiation via Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT). NETTER 01 trial demonstrated excellent results in progression-free survival. Scottish National service commenced April 2019 at Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. Service Level Agreement to submit multiple metrics including Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROM) and Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREM). EORTC QLQ 30 and GI NET 21 validated research tools which are used to measure outcomes.

#4192 Real-world efficacy and safety of re-treatment with [177Lu] Lu-DOTA-TATE in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs)

Introduction: The established efficacy and safety of [177Lu]-DOTA-TATE in metastatic gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) and bronchial NETs (G1, G2) have paved the way for exploration into re-treatment ([177Lu] RR-PRRT) safety and efficacy, an area with limited available data.

#4115 Neoadjuvant PRRT with 90Y-DOTATOC: Preliminary results from a monocentric perspective study

Introduction: Surgery is considered the only curative treatment for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs), but it is feasible only in a few patients. A new possible strategy in pNETs is preoperative PRRT, as its cytoreductive effect could increase the efficacy of surgery.
