Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation for Pancreatic Neoplasms
#1562
Introduction: Endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) is a recognised therapeutic option for a range of neoplasms.
Aim(s): To ascertain the feasibility, safety and early results of EUS-RFA for pancreatic neoplasms with a novel probe.
Materials and methods: Prospective, multi-centre pilot trial examining the Habib TM EUS-RFA catheter – a novel probe comprising a 1Fr wire of 190cm working length which can be inserted via the biopsy channel of an echoendoscope.
