Getting Results - Patient experiences and preferences for communicating scan results in Australia

Introduction: Scans are integral to neuroendocrine tumor (NET) management. There are no guidelines regarding timing of scans and results communication from a patient (pt.) perspective.
Aim(s): 1. To explore pt. experiences and preferences related to scan results communication in Australia. 2. To make recommendations to improve pt. experiences and inform best practice.
Materials and methods: An online consumer focus group was formed, with findings guiding a 31-question online survey re: Waiting times between scans and results, communication of results, impact on wellbeing. This was consumer tested before promoting via pt. support groups and social media, with 115 responses.
