Mixed neuroendocrine-non neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNEN): Characterization of the genomic and pathological profile
#3872
Introduction: MiNENs is a novel defined rare entity, made up of two morphologically distinct neoplastic components; one neuroendocrine type (NEN), and the other one non-neuroendocrine type (nNEN). As available data are limited, the epidemiology and pathogenesis of MiNENs remain mostly unknown.
Aim(s): The study aims to shed light on the molecular basis of such a mixed neoplasm, investigating its single components (NEN and nNEN).
Materials and methods: A total of 18 MiNEN patients with available archival tissue material (from 2010 to date), will be examined by clinical review, ihc analysis and sequencing via the Illumina tso500 panel.
