#2169 Patient and Clinician Perspectives on Symptom Priorities Across the Spectrum of Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs)

Introduction: NETs are associated with a range of symptoms, and symptom reduction is a common treatment target. Identifying priority symptoms across NETs can help inform clinical trial endpoints.

Conference: 15th Annual ENETSConcerence (2018)

#1854 VHL Genotype Is Associated with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (PNETs) Phenotype in Patients with Von Hippel-Lindau Disease (VHLD)

Introduction: 8-20% of patients with VHLD develop PNETs. However, there are no markers for PNETs progression in VHLD patients. The type of mutation in VHL gene is associated with clinical phenotype of VHLD.

#713 Non-Functioning Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (PNET): Association with Prediabetes/Diabetes

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors of pancreas (PNET) are classified as functional or nonfunctional (NF) based on presence or absence of clinical syndrome associated with hormone over secretion. NF-PNETs do, however, often produce low levels of inactive hormones (pancreatic polypeptide, calcitonin or neurotensin) which do not cause any symptoms.

#688 Does Small Mean Benign? Not for the WHO 2010 Classification of Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs): A Case Report of a Small Rectal Neuroendocrine Neoplasm (NEN) with Distant Metastatic Spread

Introduction: The gastrointestinal tract is the most common site of primary NETs, just over a quarter of which are rectal. According to the WHO 2000/2004 non-functioning NETs, ≤2cm with no muscularis propria or vascular invasion are classified as well differentiated (WD) NET with benign behavior. However, several case series report metastatic spread from NETs in this category. In 2010, a new WHO classification was introduced with the premise that all NETs were considered malignant with metastatic potential.

#511 Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen (IPAS) Misdiagnosed as Nonfunctioning Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor (PNET): A Case Report and Characterization of a Syndrome Based on Systematic Review of the Literature

Introduction: Management of pancreatic incidentalomas(PI) is challenging due to high risk of malignancy and limitations in prediction of their histology and biological behavior. IPAS is one of such lesions and is often misdiagnosed as a PNET.
