#4255 Prognostic significance of nodal micrometastases in patients with non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NF-PanNETs) – A survival analysis from a prospective observational study

Introduction: Nodal metastases (N+) are one of the most powerful predictors of disease recurrence after surgery for non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NF-PanNETs). However, the prognostic role of nodal metastases

#4251 Upfront Oxaliplatin–Fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy and Somatostatin Analogues (SSA) in advanced well-differentiated G2/G3 gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs)

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) are frequently diagnosed at advanced stage. For well-differentiated somatostatin receptor-positive (SSTR +) NETs, somatostatin analogues (SSAs) are the preferred first-line therapy. However, in patients (pts) with G2/G3 and a high tumor burden, SSA alone might not be enough.

#4249 Factors associated with post-operative pancreatic insufficiency after distal pancreatectomy for localised non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NF-PanNET)

Introduction: Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (pNETs) are rare neoplasms, often indolent in nature. Surgery is the backbone of curative treatment for localised panNETs. As the majority of these patients are cured by surgery, the development of long-term complications such as post-operative pancreatic insufficiency is critical.

#4246 Prevalence of germline mutations in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: Approximately 10% of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) develop due to inherited syndromes. However, generally genetic counseling and testing is not performed routinely and little accumulated on the prevalence of PanNETs associated with the presence of germline mutations.

#4243 Role of gastric mucosa evaluation in diagnostic of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors functional status

Introduction: Accessibility of high-precision imaging dramatically increased detection rate of small asymptomatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs). Functioning status is indication for surgical treatment with high perioperative risks, while increased level of NET markers could be associated with gastric mucosa atrophy or intake of proton pump inhibitors (PPI) and nor with tumor secretion.
