Introduction: Surgery represents the optimal treatment of F-pNETs, especially if performed in high volume centers of pancreatic surgery.
Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)

Keywords: Functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatic surgery,
Introduction: The somatostatin-2 receptor (SST2) is a target for peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). By using epigenetic drugs, which can regulate gene transcription, PRRT efficacy may be further improved due to enhanced SST2 expression.

Introduction: SCAN measured global readiness to provide diagnostics and treatments for NET patients in terms of awareness, availability, quality and affordability.

Introduction: Conservatively, the incidence of NETs is 7 / 000' p.a, however, the prevalence of patients living with NETs is higher,40/000',making it the 2nd most common GI malignancy after colorectal cancer.Patients are living longer, however, with impaired quality of life.Management of debilitating symptoms such as diarrhoea, fatigue, anxiety, and flushing are complex and heterogenous.
Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)
Presenting Author: Leyden S
Authors: Leyden S, Cummins M, Wakelin K,
Keywords: diagnosis, ongoing care, primary healthcare, NETs, quality of life, symptom management, NET symptoms,
#1520 Osteotropism of NETs: Role of the SDF1/CXCR4 Axis in Regulating EMT
Introduction: NETs metastasize to the bone in up to 20% of patients. The SDF1/CXCR4 axis is a key determinant of osteotropism, and we showed that NETs overexpressing CXCR4 are more likely to develop bone metastases.
